December Wind

Image
The December wind blows In the direction I couldn’t care to know The white curtain dances Carrying away memories of this space. What space, asked my stubborn self, It’s just a box you like to hide Yet, you come back to visit day and night. For this space defined who you are Who you wanted to be And now, it was just a thing of past memory! Oh December wind! Please tell me what this means? For a stubborn girl refuses to begin The journey under that December’s cool wind, Alone! The universe I once wanted to explore Become too big a space I want no more Why, that noise does not stop No matter what switch the light is. Dear River, please carries my soul  To wherever you'll flow For you keep me companied, you keep me whole, with your cool breeze  That’s when December be, the month flooded with Memories!

Along the Mekong in Luang Prabang - #MekongDiary

The Chinese calls Ou River, the Gem River of Asia because of its deep blue river bedding.  We bring "Face of the Mekong" to screen. We take the journey upstream along the Mekong in Luang Prabang to see how our Mighty Mekong has been taken care of. We came across the scene... We are unsure the next time we travel up the Mekong by boat, it is possible to navigate through. We have questions - who could answer? #AlongtheMekongwithSai Maybe the CEO of the Mekong River Commission is right - that they don't make decision based on feeling. because for us working on the Mekong Water Governance Program, our feeling are bro...

The Story Teller

Image
November 28th 2022, 4 days after arriving back from 3 weeks visit to family in Sydney, I flew back to Bangkok to speak at a conference that links dearly to my program work.  I have never considered myself a public speaker, nor feeling comfortable in taking up such the role. But as mentioned in the last post that I determine to do more to get used to the unfamiliar zone. So I did pick up the invitation to speak without my preparation.  The speak differed from previous one that I delivered because this time, I used a lot of personal stories to tell about the bigger picture, what i heard from the community, what I have been asked recently, and What people think should be the response to that questions. It is not my stories, I am the agent to tell the stories when others cannot come forward to tell their own stories due to their confined context.  Some of the most interesting questions being discussed?  Could we compensate fairly to the loss damage that the people ...
